Clarion
Term 1, Issue 6, March 12th. 2012
Last Tuesday the weather held off nicely for us to be able to hold our school athletic sports. This was a fun filled day with a mixture of novelty events and competitive athletic activities.

The day started with an inter house relay. Our senior students ably organized this.

Some of the events were particularly close while others were just sheer good fun and enjoyment.

We were looking for a number of our students to meet a standard that would enable them to compete in West Coast and Buller events.

Later on this week the West Coast Secondary and Area Schools Athletics are on in Greymouth. The Buller Primary School Athletics are on in Westport next Monday. We hope to have representation at both of these events.
This Monday and Tuesday we have parent interviews and three-way conferences. It is hoped that student-learning goals for the next term will be confirmed at that time.
On Thursday lunchtime we have the first Student Council meeting for this year. Students
from Year 6 – 13 will be discussing school wide issues.
This Friday we have Duffy’s Theatre performing at our school. We are very thankful to be part of the Duffy’s Books programme and look forward to the show.
Have a good week.
